Teresa is passionate about helping parents and their kids to develop a steadfast love relationship that will anchor them throughout the storms of life. When kids are rooted and grounded in the unconditional love and support of a healthy family, they develop a strong core identity with resilience to navigate challenges as they grow into the amazing adults they were created to be.

When Teresa was seven years old, her father committed suicide. She was raised by a single mother and helped to care for her three younger siblings. She began a lifelong journey of healing through a deep, abiding love relationship with Jesus who became her rock at an early age. She became a young mother herself at the age of 19 and now has four devoted sons and seven wonderful grandchildren who are the joy of her life.

She is married to the love of her life, Kerry Pfaff, who is a marriage and relationship counselor here at The Love Factor and they have been together for 33 years.

Teresa is a licensed, ordained, minister who graduated from Grace Bible Institute and became a Professional Pastoral Counselor and a Certified Professional Christian Therapist through the American Association of Christian Therapists in 2014. She spent nine years working as a para-professional in Special Education in Scottsdale, Arizona, and worked as secretary and public speaker for The Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Project, which was later adopted as a curriculum to help teachers, parents and kids affected by sexual abuse. She taught preschool and ran a before and after school daycare program at Paradise Valley Christian School for five years. She was also a Sunday School teacher and Children’s Church leader at Trinity Church in Scottsdale for ten years and a Pastoral Care Counselor at New Life Church in Rathdrum, Idaho. She has been a worship leader and co-pastored Grace Christian Fellowship in Coeur d’Alene with her husband after the death of their beloved pastor, Larry Green. Larry was the head chaplain of the Kootenai County jail system and Teresa worked with him counseling inmates and facilitating their care after release.

J.D. understands firsthand the unique challenges that can impact both individuals and relationships when life takes unexpected turns.

Raised by a Vietnam veteran and Silver Star recipient, he learned early the values of courage, sacrifice, and service. Those lessons shaped the course of his own life, leading him to enlist in the U.S. Army at just 18 years old, where he served with the 2nd Ranger Battalion. After multiple injuries from military service ended that chapter of his career, J.D. continued serving others as a Seattle Firefighter and EMT.

Following the events of 9/11, J.D. felt called to serve again. He deployed overseas protecting American personnel during the Global War on Terror, where he was seriously wounded in combat. After extensive surgeries and rehabilitation, he returned for a second deployment before eventually returning home and continuing his service in the fire department.

The transition back to civilian life wasn’t easy. Years of chronic pain, medical complications, and the emotional toll of trauma eventually led to a medical retirement after 11 years with the Seattle Fire Department. Through those experiences, J.D. gained a deep understanding of the struggles many Veterans, First Responders, and their families face every day.

Today, J.D. lives in North Idaho with his wife and their two children. His passion at LF3 Love Factor is helping Veterans, First Responders, and their spouses navigate the unique challenges that service, trauma, stress, and life transitions can place on both individuals and marriages.

Clients appreciate J.D.’s authentic, no-nonsense approach, combined with genuine compassion and understanding. He knows what it’s like to carry burdens that others may not fully understand, and he creates a safe space where people can be heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

Whether working with an individual seeking healing or a couple fighting to reconnect, J.D.’s heart is to help people find hope, strengthen relationships, and move forward with renewed purpose.

Specialties: Marriage Counseling & Coaching, Veterans, First Responders, Trauma Recovery, Relationship Restoration, Life Transitions, and Resilience Building.

Born under the sunny skies of California and raised among the evergreens of Washington State, Nicole has officially mastered the art of wearing both flip-flops and rain boots—sometimes in the same week. She now calls Washington home with her husband and daughter, where laughter, love, and a little bit of coffee keep things running smoothly. Nicole’s faith journey began in middle school when she found herself swept up in the joy and purpose of her church’s youth group at Southside Christian Church. What started as a few mission trips and youth retreats quickly became a lifelong adventure of growing closer to God and serving others. From Young Adult Ministries to building friendships that have stood the test of time (and a few embarrassing youth group moments), her walk with the Lord continues to shape every part of her life. Known for her compassionate heart and down-to-earth nature, Nicole brings warmth and understanding to every counseling session. She believes in meeting people where they are—listening deeply, laughing when needed, and helping others find the courage to grow. Friends often joke that she has a “Ph.D. in empathy” and a natural gift for making people feel seen, valued, and safe. With a degree in Criminal Justice, Nicole has spent years working with diverse communities, building bridges of communication and understanding. She’s also a Board Certified Master Christian Realtionship Coach. At her core, Nicole believes that healing happens when faith meets authenticity—and that sometimes, the best breakthroughs start with a good cup of coffee and an honest conversation.
